I sometimes think Gutenberg is at its best with old children’s books. Especially fairy tales. You can stumble onto a collection of illustrations, and it’s like rifling through a box of letters and finding a nest of jewels. I haven’t even read the stories yet, and there’s the usual caveat about another era’s blatant sins (the villain in Aladdin looks uncommonly like a stock “darkie”). But the balance of the pictures are fine indeed. Read the book.
